Cervical Screening and Vaccination

Cervical cancer is the second most common cancer among Malaysian women and is preventable. The following are ways to reduce the risk of cervical cancer:

  1. Get regular pap smears.
  2. Limit your number of sexual partners.
  3. Quit smoking or avoid second hand smoke.
  4. If you are sexually active, use condoms for prevention.
  5. Follow-up on abnormal pap smears i.e. cervical dysplasia.
  6. Get HPV vaccination.
