Cervical cancer is the second most common cancer among Malaysian women and is preventable. The following are ways to reduce the risk of cervical cancer:
- Get regular pap smears.
- Limit your number of sexual partners.
- Quit smoking or avoid second hand smoke.
- If you are sexually active, use condoms for prevention.
- Follow-up on abnormal pap smears i.e. cervical dysplasia.
- Get HPV vaccination.
